Had a great surprise today! Most Realtors(R) try hard not to let any prospects slip to the crack…it happens to everyone though. I’d spoken to a gentleman from NY a couple of months ago and he called this morning off of one of the Postlets that Leslie creates for all of our listings. Postlets are on Craig’s List. It feels good to know that some of your marketing gets noticed.
Tomorrow we have an appointment with a couple who are listed with us. We will concentrate on examining the marketing we’ve done so far, the response we’ve had, the number of houses similar to theirs which have sold in the last 4 to 6 months plus the number of active listings currently on the market in their price range. If we divide the number of solds into the number of active listings, we can determine how many months worth of inventory we have in Jackson County that are on the market. This is called the absorption rate.
We are working hard on a method to keep in touch with all of our clients on a regular basis. They deserve it and the effort enriches us personally.
