Good morning. You never know how accurate the weather forecasts are until after the fact. Well, the fact is…they predicted a lot of snow and we got a lot of snow —fast.
We’d gone to the office thinking we’d get some work done and head back home early. Forecasters said that after 12 there would be some rain, then some freezing rain (my personal fave) and then snow after 6. The rain started at about 2:30, the “winter mix” started at 3:30 and we started home about 4. We ran into Food Lion for the essentials and by the time we hit the highway, snow had begun in earnest. It took us about half an hour to get home and by that time, the snow was absolutely pouring.
We took care of the dogs in about half an hour, by that time we already had about 4″ of snow. The power blinked on and off through the night until bedtime. Then it must have stayed on. By the time we went to bed there was about 8″ of snow, this morning looks like 10-12″ of snow.
The little dogs aren’t pleased!
Guess we aren’t going anywhere today.
