Well, so far so good with our new office. We’ve had tons of visitors, so everyone seems to be finding us. We have two contracts that both look good to close. We have buyers who have identified the house they are in love with and are ready to make an offer. We have another buyer looking. Things are happening just like being in business!
Then there’s this mouse, I guess I should say there was this mouse. When one lives in the woods, one can occasionally expect mice or snakes to get into the house. Doesn’t mean we have to like it…just means we have to deal with it. Last night Leslie yelped from the bathroom… yep, field mouse. We cleaned out the linen closet it chose to hide in and of course couldn’t find it. The clock chimed midnight, so we elected to put out the trap. 45 minutes later Leslie heard the trap snap and deposited said rodent on the front porch. Since it was 18 degress out, it didn’t take long for rigor mortis to set in.
We’ll set another trap tonight and hope its empty and that the fellow from last night was a lone ranger of some sort.
We’re headed into Asheville shortly, we need to make a dog food run. There are two days of snow predicted and we’d rather not have to physically carry the 50 pound bags up the driveway. We’re also going to have lunch at Red Lobster. Ymmmm.
I hope all is going well with rehab and Dad today. I pray for a return to normal everyday life for my mother and brother.
Have a good day.
